Lucky in love

April 25th 2024

We eloped! In a little white chapel, under neon lights we got married after seven beautiful years.

An offering to Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love was made in the form of red roses, of which she is said to have created when rushing to the aid of her lover Adonis. And because that wasn’t Greek enough, we wore Stefana, Greek Orthodox wedding crowns meant to symbolize unity, and in my mind immortal connection.

We decided to get make it official after a trip to Luna Luna and a very unofficial ceremony at the André Heller Wedding Chapel. The chapel was part of a larger exhibit in which people could marry whomever they wanted, making it a space where Queer couples could symbolically marry in the late 80s. I can not begin to express how powerful and meaningful it was for us to symbolically marry in a place where hundreds of Queer couples married 40 years before. We figured if we married under the law of Luna Luna we should marry legally. So we eloped in April in Vegas.

We hope you enjoy these special photos of us on our day. We look forward to celebrating with each and everyone of you the next time we see you. Checkout our Spotify playlist below and dance it out in celebration of love.
